Professor Abdullah Al-Hawaj, the Founding President and the Chairman of the Board of Trustees of Ahlia University, confirmed that Ahlia University is keen to attract outstanding and creative students and offers them a package of various privileges aimed at enhancing their educational and professional opportunities as well as refining and developing their skills and personal abilities, be it students who have obtained a high grade point average in Secondary school or those who prove their excellence in the university.
Al-Hawaj explained in a press statement that sponsoring outstanding and creative students including giving them partial scholarships ( paying half of the tuition fees) and providing them with opportunities to gain international experience by joining programs and activities of a number of prestigious universities around the world through the international student exchange program or through participation in activities and events held within the Kingdom of Bahrain and abroad, which aim to refine students’ skills, qualify them in various fields, and inform them of international experiences and developments.
In this regard, he reiterated the university’s determination to expand its cooperation with prestigious international universities, through further networking of relations and constructive cooperation with new universities, stressing that one of the priorities of Ahlia university is to equip students with the highest levels of competence and professionalism for the labor market, and he stated, “We are keener on the student obtaining scientific and practical skills than memorizing the curriculum and then forgetting it shortly after graduating… Our aim is to enable students to engage in the labor market with its required needs and developments that mimic reality and society.”
For her part, the President Assistant for Media, Marketing & Public Relations, explained that the university offers 11 Bachelor’s degree programs, 7 Master’s degree programs, and two Ph.D. programs, as the university offers them through 5 colleges, namely: Arts and Sciences, Business and Finance, Engineering, and Information Technology, in addition to the College of Graduate Studies and Research. Nothing that the university has achieved unprecedented results in many international rankings, as well as its local distinction through all its programs’ achieving full confidence according to the evaluation of the Education and Training Quality Authority.
She added: We are preparing for a unique start with the beginning of a new academic year next September 2022, which includes studying through attendance on campus supported by educational technology, expressing her pride in the university for embracing various students including citizens and residents from all governorates of the Kingdom, in addition to GCC students, Arab students, and students from different countries of the world, as Ahlia University considers this diversity one of its qualities because of its positive effects on the university’s environment and the values of tolerance and harmony among students whose culture and experiences are enhanced in this diverse environment.
She also said that over the past two decades, the university has graduated 16 cohorts, some of which occupy the most prestigious leadership positions, while others took up special projects and initiatives that provided added value to the economy and contributed to providing new job opportunities for their colleagues. The university takes pride in its alumni as its ambassadors in society and the greatest indicator of the success of its mission.
