Ms. Ayesha Rafique

  • Has over 7 years of experience in teaching and laboratory instruction guiding students in scientific methodology and research protocol, and experience in academic research.
  • Holds an M.Sc. in Nutrition and Dietetics with a thesis focusing on the association of dietary polyphenol intake with metabolic syndrome parameters.
  • Authored and co-authored multiple publications in high-impact, peer-reviewed journals on topics including dietary patterns, metabolic health, and clinical nutrition.
  • Certified Google Educator, demonstrating a commitment to integrating technology into educational settings.

Biography

Ayesha Rafique received her Master of Science in Nutrition and Dietetics from the University of Bahrain, where her research explored the relationship between dietary polyphenol intake and metabolic health in young females. She also holds a Bachelor of Science in Biology with a minor in Chemistry from the same institution, graduating with high honors.

In addition to having taught biology and coordinated laboratory sciences in academic settings, she has extensive experience in preparing and delivering interactive scientific lessons, overseeing laboratory operations, and facilitating student science projects. Her teaching and mentorship extend to developing and delivering science curricula for high school students.

As an active academic researcher, she has conducted systematic reviews, meta-analyses, and clinical nutrition research focusing on diet quality, metabolic markers, and functional foods, with a particular focus on the Mediterranean diet and its effects on metabolic syndrome and non-alcoholic-fatty-liver-disease. Her research skills are complemented by advanced proficiency in data analysis and academic writing, leading to publications in journals such as Nutrients and Biomedicine & Pharmacotherapy.

Working in both educational and community domains, she has participated in regional health awareness events, national dietary guideline initiatives, and postgraduate research platforms.
Ayesha has presented her findings at academic forums and actively contributes to public health initiatives. She holds professional certifications in Google Education, First Aid, Child Safeguarding, and educational technology.
