The Counseling and Guidance Department at the Deanship of Student Affairs of Ahlia University organized an awareness event when World Mental Health Day on October 12, 2026, at the University’s Main Hall, in collaboration with the Ministry of Interior and Solwan Psychiatric Hospital. The event aimed to raise awareness about the importance of mental health and promote health literacy among members of the university community.
The event featured awareness lectures delivered by representatives from the Ministry of Interior, addressing the risks of substance abuse and its negative impact on individuals and society, as well as highlighting the awareness and preventive efforts undertaken in this field. Specialists from Solwan Psychiatric Hospital also delivered a presentation on common mental health disorders, the importance of early diagnosis, and ways to maintain and enhance mental well-being and quality of life.
The event targeted all members of Ahlia University, including students, academic staff, and administrative employees. It witnessed remarkable engagement and participation, with approximately 80 attendees.
