The computer engineering department with the internship center was organize a field trip to GPIC on 4 December 2019 for the computer and communications engineering bachelor students. 10 students are benefited for this great opportunity to visit one of the bigger company in kingdom of Bahrain and the region.
GPIC uses natural gas, which is available locally, as a basis to produce ammonia, urea and methanol, which are its sole products.
First the head of HR welcome us, and he presented the main purpose and history of the company. After, the head of the IT department presented for us the different levels and services of the IT department mostly the new strategy of the company about security and the fourth industrial revolution. We visited also the server room and explain the various devices and machines. Finally, we visited the control room (simulator part) and presented for us the different steps for production.
