Ahlia University President Reveals

“I prepared this speech with ChatGPT and am proud of our series of scientific conferences.”

Ahlia University proudly inaugurated the First Doctoral Forum on Digital Media and Communication Technology, marking the beginning of a series of international research conferences hosted by the University in the new year 2025. In his opening remarks, Prof. Mansoor Alaali, President of Ahlia University, made a notable statement by revealing that he had prepared his speech in collaboration with ChatGPT, with some modifications.

Prof. Alaali expressed his pride in Ahlia University’s commitment to academic excellence, highlighting the University’s dedication to positioning Bahrain as a regional hub for higher education. He announced that Ahlia University will host four major research conferences—two in January and two in February—along with numerous workshops and lectures across its faculties.

During his speech, Prof. Alaali emphasized the growing influence of digital media in daily life and stressed the importance of academic research in addressing challenges such as misinformation. He also called on researchers to explore the relationship between media, the human mind, and societal behavior, as well as the impact of digital media on cultures and traditions.

Highlighting the role of artificial intelligence in media and communication, Prof. Alaali noted that AI’s ability to process vast information and integrate knowledge across disciplines gives it an advantage over even the most advanced human intellects. He underscored the necessity of innovation in media messaging to enhance accuracy, speed, and competitiveness in the digital era.

Furthermore, Prof. Alaali stressed that doctoral programs represent the top of academic achievement, reaffirming Ahlia University’s commitment to bridging the gap between academia and industry. He emphasized that universities should go beyond knowledge dissemination and focus on its real-world application through engagement and collaboration with key sectors.

The First Doctoral Forum on Digital Media and Communication Technology serves as a significant platform for scholars, researchers, and professionals to exchange insights and contribute to the advancement of media and communication technologies. Through initiatives like these, Ahlia University continues to reinforce its reputation as a leader in higher education and research excellence in the region.
