Ayesha Rafique received her Master of Science in Nutrition and Dietetics from the University of Bahrain, where her research explored the relationship between dietary polyphenol intake and metabolic health in young females. She also holds a Bachelor of Science in Biology with a minor in Chemistry from the same institution, graduating with high honors.
In addition to having taught biology and coordinated laboratory sciences in academic settings, she has extensive experience in preparing and delivering interactive scientific lessons, overseeing laboratory operations, and facilitating student science projects. Her teaching and mentorship extend to developing and delivering science curricula for high school students.
As an active academic researcher, she has conducted systematic reviews, meta-analyses, and clinical nutrition research focusing on diet quality, metabolic markers, and functional foods, with a particular focus on the Mediterranean diet and its effects on metabolic syndrome and non-alcoholic-fatty-liver-disease.
