Ahlia University has announced a series of senior leadership appointments as part of a strategic restructuring aimed at strengthening institutional governance, enhancing administrative performance and supporting the University’s long-term development plans.
Among the appointments, Dr. Esra Saleh Al-Dhaen has been named Vice-President for Administrative and Financial Affairs. She previously led the university’s Strategy, Quality and Sustainability portfolio and will oversee financial management, resource planning and institutional governance.
Dr. Ammar Al-Hawaj has been appointed Assistant President for Communications and International Relations. In his new role, he will be responsible for strengthening the University’s institutional communications, expanding international partnerships and supporting its regional and global engagement.
The University has also appointed Professor Ashraf Abdelfattah Mostafa Darwish as Dean of the College of Information Technology. The appointment comes as the university continues to strengthen its programmes in digital technologies, innovation and emerging fields aligned with the needs of the knowledge economy.
Ahlia University Founding President and Chairman of the Board of Trustees, Professor Abdulla Al-Hawaj, said the appointments reflect the institution’s commitment to investing in academic and administrative talent capable of responding to the rapidly evolving higher education landscape. He Added that the University remains focused on developing a leadership structure that supports institutional excellence, innovation and sustainable growth.
University President Professor Mansoor Alaali said the appointments form part of the University’s strategy to empower academic and administrative leaders while strengthening integration between educational and operational functions. He added that the university will continue to enhance its performance in line with international quality standards and innovation, further reinforcing its competitiveness at both the regional and international levels.
