From Bahrain to the World .. Ahlia and Brunel Strengthen Research Collaboration in Doctoral Programme

Ahlia University has concluded the 17th Doctoral Conference, organised in partnership with Brunel University London as part of their joint doctoral programme, in an academic setting marked by in-depth discussions and methodological rigour.

The conference reinforced its position as an annual platform for examining contemporary research issues prior to drawing conclusions, reflecting the continued development of the programme over successive editions.

Sessions featured a range of high-quality research presentations in areas including financial technology, marketing, governance, strategic management and artificial intelligence. The discussions explored the ability of traditional management models to adapt to rapid economic and digital transformations, with presentations characterised by strong methodological frameworks and the use of real-world data for analysis and evaluation.

Dr. Ammar Al-Hawaj, Executive Director of Communications and Public Relations at Ahlia University, said reaching the 17th edition reflects a well-established academic approach based on peer review and objective assessment. He added that the partnership with Brunel University has enhanced the quality of academic supervision and strengthened research integration in line with international doctoral standards.

Dr.Al-Hawaj noted that the value of the conference lies in its ability to generate research that is open to discussion and development, while also fostering a culture of academic accountability among researchers. He highlighted that participation from Bahrain, Saudi Arabia and other countries enabled comparative perspectives that enriched the analytical process and strengthened the credibility of the findings.

Professor Monomita Nandy of Brunel University London praised the standard of research presented, noting that participating researchers represent an extension of Brunel’s academic community. She also emphasised that the ongoing collaboration between the two universities demonstrates a successful model of international academic partnership.

The Doctoral Conference continues to serve as a platform that combines academic rigour with intellectual exchange, supporting research development and reinforcing the role of international partnerships in producing impactful knowledge at both regional and global levels.
