Dr. Shadya Radhi is an assistant professor in the department of Mathematical, Sciences, Languages, and General Studies at Ahlia University. Dr. Radhi has taught at multiple institutions of higher education both in the Kingdom of Bahrain and the United Kingdom. In addition, she also has professional experience working at the Ministry of Information Affairs.

Dr. Radhi’s academic area of expertise is English language and literature, with a particular focus on comparative literature. Her research especially concentrates on Middle Eastern literatures, Speculative fiction, Futurisms, as well as contemporary literature from the Arabian Gulf. She also has a number of research chapters published in edited collections.

As a teacher and researcher, Dr. Radhi sees her role as offering students new venues for critical exploration through the study of the humanities across its disciplines, as well as providing students with the language skills and tools necessary to thrive in their personal and professional lives.
