Library Rules and Regulations

  1. Patrons are expected to observe complete silence in the library at all times.
  2. Patrons are requested to leave the reference books on the table at the end of research session.
  3. Do not misplace or dislocate library materials.
  4. Patrons are not allowed to bring food stuff inside the library.
  5. Using of mobile phones inside the library is strictly prohibited. Mobile phones must be kept at silent mode when you are in the library premises.
  6. Library will open on all working days from 8 am to 8 pm and on Fridays from 10am to 3 pm. However Library will be closed on all official holidays.
  7. Students may borrow three books at any one time for ten days for General Circulations, one day for References. Special Collections such as Dissertations, dictionaries are not available for borrowing by students.
  8. Fines are charged against each day an item is overdue at the rate of 100 Fils per day with those days when the Library is closed.
  9. Do not cut, tear or fold the pages of library books.
  10. Staff members may borrow three (3) books at any one time for ten (10) days for General Circulation or one (1)  day for References. Special Collections such as Dissertations, Dictionaries are not available for borrowing by staff members.
  11. Faculty may borrow five (5)  books at any one time for one Semester for General Circulation or seven (7) days for References. Teaching Staff may take Special Collections materials such as Dissertations, dictionaries out of Library for classroom purposes only.
  12. PhD students may borrow five (5) books at any one time for ten (10) days for general circulation or seven (7) days for References. Special Collections such as Dissertations, Dictionaries are not available for borrowing by PhD Student.
  13. NOTE: Borrowing is  not renewable by phone.
