1- Psychology Club
This club acts as a forum for students to discuss about various psychological issues. The club enables participating students to generate ideas which could lead to organizing workshops that concern with mental health and well-being.
2- Technology Club
Students who are members in this club deal with ideas, hobbies and projects concerning information technology. This club encourages students to be creative and innovative and supports any new ideas developed by the student. The club enables the student to generate and realise their ideas with the help of academics who share their knowledge and experience with the students using multiple perspectives.
3- Engineering Club
Engineering club offers support to students who want to excel in the computer and mobile engineering discipline through creativity and innovation. Academics from the Engineering College provide support to students by encouraging them to generate new ideas leading to development of proto samples.
4- Theatre Club
As part of encouraging the cultural values amongst the students, this club provides support to students to actively participate in cultural activities like drama, acting, song and dance, and performing on stage. The club acts as a channel to bring the hidden skills of students.
5- Music Club
Music club provides an opportunity to students exhibit their fine art skills. The club organizes events in which students take part and showcase their ability by performing on stage.
6- Football Club
Students enthusiastically participate in football. The club organizes tournaments and also supports students to participate in inter-university matches. The club is a major channel for students from different colleges within the university to participate in the game of football which is the most popular sport in the country.
7- Basketball Club
Basketball club attracts students from across the university who want to showcase their ability in basketball. The club participates in several tournaments and encourages and supports the Ahlia team to participate in those tournaments.
8- Student Council
One of Ahlia University priorities is to create the right means of communication between students and the management and give the students the right to express their opinions and to discuss their problems in a democratic manner. In order to achieve this noble objective, the university established the Student Council, which consists of members elected by their fellow students from different colleges. Student Council membership normally lasts for one year. The winners in the election elect the Student Council President and the heads of different Student Council committees.
The President of the Student Council is a full member of the University Council and the members of the council are ad-hoc members of the different College Councils.
The Student Council aims to achieve the following:
- Develop students’ personalities from the academic, social, cultural, and national aspects.
- Develop students’ leadership skills and allow them to freely express their views and opinions.
- Develop students’ awareness of their rights and responsibilities within the university rules and regulations.
- Support student activities in the fields of science, culture, social and sports, and therefore improve the students overall educational attainment.
- Encourage the spirit of collaboration and team work between the students and create a strong bond between the students and the University faculty and staff.
- Students’ contribution towards the development of better student services.
9- Ahlia University Toastmasters Club
This club is an international club supported by Ahlia University which supports the students to develop their communication and leadership skill. Select students are members in the club, sponsored by Ahlia University. The club conducts regular meetings and events in which students participate. Students benefit by way of improving their language, communication and leadership skills through participating in competitions conducted by the club.
