Dr. May Jalal Al Saffar

  • PhD in Architectural Engineering, from the United Arab Emirates University (2020).
  • Master’s degree in Sustainable design of the built environment from the British University in Dubai (Associated with Cardiff University, UK (2013).
  • Postgraduate degree in Urban studies of the built environment from the Bauhaus college in Dessau, Germany (2010)

Biography

Dr. May Al Saffar is a Bahraini national, who has a PhD from the United Arab Emirates University (UAEU), Al Aain, in History and Theory of Architecture.

For almost two decades, she has served as an architect, interior designer, project developer, academic in the field of architecture and interior design, and external examiner for graduation projects and design studios locally and abroad.

In addition to that she is a member in number of Ahlia University committees, as well as other external non-governmental organizations. Dr. May Al Saffar’s experience is a mix of academic, professional practice, and administrative activities.
