The Bachelors Degree in Banking and Finance prepares students to pursue a career in banking whether conventional or Islamic, commercial or investment.
Bahrain is considered the hub of banking and financial service in the GCC countries. These financial services are highly competitive ad rapidly changing not only in Bahrain but also throughout the modern global economy. The degree programme is structured around the two major fields of banking and finance. The degree programme has a very high banking component (both conventional and Islamic) and there is a direct application of economics and finance to the banking sector. Finance is the study of how investors allocate their assets over time under conditions of certainty and uncertainty. A key point is the time value of money, which states that a unit of currency today is worth more that the same unit of currency tomorrow. Finance aims to price assets based on their risk level and expected rate of return.
