His Royal Highness Prince Saud bin Nayef bin Abdulaziz Al-Saud, Governor of the Eastern Province in KSA, and His Royal Highness Prince Saud bin Bandar bin Abdulaziz, Deputy Governor of the Eastern Province, welcomed Professor Abdulla Al-Hawaj, Founding President and Chairman of the Board of Trustees of Ahlia University, accompanied by the University’s President, Professor Mansoor Alaali, and the Saudi student winners of the “Prime Minister’s Award for Journalism 2024”.
Professor Al-Hawaj commended the keen interest and support shown by the wise leadership of Bahrain and Saudi Arabia towards youth and the education sector, considering it as the most valuable investment. He affirmed that Ahlia University is inspired by the developmental journeys of the two Kingdoms in pursuing its own progress and innovation. Prof. Al-Hawaj explained that the award is one of Bahrain’s most prestigious media initiatives, highlighting the award’s role in recognizing exceptional journalists and encouraging creativity and innovation, including university media students. He also praised the impressive performance of Saudi students at the University, who formed the majority of the award-winning team.
The University President, Prof. Mansoor Alaali, noted that Saudi students constitute an important segment of the University’s student body and are integral partners in its successes, whether in terms of academic quality or the institution’s international rankings and accreditations.
