Ahlia University proudly inaugurated the “Fanar” Entrepreneurship Exhibition, a student-centered initiative designed to showcase innovative business ideas developed by university students. During a well-attended ceremony held at the University’s main dining hall, the exhibition was officially opened by His Excellency MP Ahmed Al-Saloom, a member of Bahrain’s House of Representatives.
Ahlia University Entrepreneurship Center, in collaboration with the Department of Media and Public Relations, organized the event, which attracted academics, students, entrepreneurs, and professionals interested in economic development and entrepreneurship.
The exhibition featured a wide range of student-led entrepreneurial projects, highlighting the capacity of Ahlia students to translate ideas into sustainable business ventures. The displayed projects emphasized innovation, sustainability, and readiness for digital economic, the core elements of Bahrain’s broader knowledge economy agenda.
In his opening speech, MP Al-Saloom commended the creativity in the students’ projects, calling the exhibition a “promising platform” for identifying emerging talent and fostering a culture of private enterprise. “Ahlia University has shown remarkable leadership in integrating innovation and entrepreneurship into its academic programs,” said Al-Saloom. “By nurturing students’ professional and practical skills, the University is preparing a new generation of Bahraini entrepreneurs equipped to navigate a rapidly evolving global economy.”
He also encouraged students to take full advantage of national initiatives, particularly the “Furas” program, a training and employment platform aimed at providing opportunities to enhance youth engagement in key economic sectors such as artificial intelligence, cybersecurity, financial technology, and the digital economy. “Empowering national talent through professional training and strategic hiring is essential to generating quality job opportunities and reducing unemployment,” Al-Saloom added. “Sustainable economic growth can only be achieved by investing in the human capital of our nation.”
The participants expressed enthusiasm and pride, describing it as a valuable chance to present their work to influential academic and public figures. Visitors praised the professionalism of the event and the ingenuity of the projects on display, which reflect the University’s commitment to fostering a dynamic and responsive learning environment, ensuring that graduates are equipped with the knowledge and skills necessary to meet modern market demands.
