Ashraf Darwish received his doctorate in Computer Science from Saint Petersburg State University in the Russian Federation. Prior to this, he earned both his Bachelor of Science and Master of Science degrees from Tanta University in Egypt. In addition to having taught computational intelligence and mathematical foundations since 2006, he has taught courses in information security and data mining and has led international workshops in both academic and professional settings.
As a faculty member, he has contributed to the development of academic programs and served as the Acting Head of the Mathematics and Computer Science Department at Helwan University. He further expanded his professional portfolio by serving as the Cultural and Educational Attaché for the Embassy of Egypt in Kazakhstan and Central Asia, where he fostered international academic collaborations. Currently, he serves as a consultant and board member for several quality assurance and accreditation projects, contributing to the enhancement of higher education standards.
Additionally, he has published extensively in different fields of intelligent computing and serves as a member of the editorial boards of numerous international journals and conferences, including acting as an Editor-in-Chief and Associate Editor for several high-impact publications. He has served his community by delivering training courses, developing and improving academic programs for various universities, and chairing sessions in international conferences. He also serves as the Vice Chair of the Scientific Research Group in Egypt (SRGE) and is a member of the Council of Communication Research and Information Technology at the Academy of Scientific Research and Technology.
He is a member of several notable computing associations, including the IEEE, ACM, and the Russian Egyptian Association for graduates.
