Dr.Maryam AlThawadi joined Ahlia University in August 2011. She is an assistant professor in the Accounting, Finance & Banking Department. Dr. Althawadi received her Ph.D. in Accounting in 2022 and an MSc in Accounting and Business Management in 2015 from Brunel University London. In addition, she received her B.Sc in Accounting and Finance from Ahlia University Bahrain in 2011.

She teaches multiple levels of accounting courses such as Managerial Accounting, Taxation, and accounting information systems. Furthermore, she helps students explore and define their academic, career, and life goals, by serving as an academic advisor to a number of Accounting and Finance undergraduate program students. Also, Dr. AlThawadi has supervised several undergraduate students in their final projects and internships. Her interests in research include the areas of corporate reporting, Corporate Sustainability, National culture, and Taxation.
