Ahlia University Celebrates Graduation of 365 Students

Ahlia University held a graduation ceremony for 365 students receiving their bachelor’s, master’s, and doctoral degrees, marking the 19th cohort of graduates. The event took place at the Gulf Hotel and was attended by a distinguished group of ministers, members of parliament, officials, academics, and community leaders.

During the ceremony, Professor Abdulla Al-Hawaj, Founder and Chairman of the Board of Trustees, expressed heartfelt gratitude to His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa and His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, on behalf of the University and its graduates.

In his speech, Professor Al-Hawaj emotionally commemorated the late Mr. Farouk Al-Moayyed, Chairman of the Board of Director, who dedicated his final days to the completion of the new campus in Salman City. He announced that the main hall of the campus would be named in honor of Al-Moayyed.

Dr. Abdulla bin Sadeq Dhalan, a guest from the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and President of the University of Business and Technology in Jeddah, praised the educational journey in Bahrain under the wise leadership of the King. He expressed pride in Ahlia University’s inspiring success story, noting that it has set a precedent in the Arab region, surpassing their institution in Jeddah. He affirmed his belief that Ahlia University would become the leading private university in the Arab world.

Dr. Dhalan also made a commitment to complete the construction of the new campus within a year, as he had promised his late friend, Mr. Farouk Al-Moayyed.

Dr. Professor Mansoor Alaali, the University president, announced that Ahlia University has achieved prestigious global accreditations and rankings, recently being placed 17th among Arab universities by Times Higher Education, and ranked 10th globally for quality education based on sustainable development indicators.

On behalf of the graduates, students Ameera Al-Sabie and Ghazoua Al-Majiran expressed their gratitude to the University and faculty for equipping them with the necessary skills for entering the job market.
