Ahlia University

The college encourages quality research among faculty and students, and faculty members attend and present papers at renowned regional and international conferences such as IEEE conferences and publish their research in reputable Engineering and IT journals such as IEEE transactions. Many members hold memberships in reputed engineering institutes and associations such as IEEE, IAENG, IAES, etc..  The college faculty also act as reviewers for, or editorial board members in, many international journals.  One faculty member received a patent for an innovation reported in his PhD dissertation and other faculty published work in international journals with their graduate and undergraduate students.

Research in the college spans a wide spectrum of engineering fields. Faculty research interests include but are not limited to:
Coded MIMO Systems for the B3G/4G Mobile Communications, speech coding for mobile communications, error-correcting codes, Extremely Low Frequency (ELF) for telemetry applications, cross-correlation-based PSK and QAM demodulation, Digital signal and image processing for forensics and medical diagnosis, Microcontroller-based systems, computer Networks, Content Based Image Retrieval (CBIR), wavelet-based nonlinear system identification, neural networks applications to network design, optical communication, particular localization and estimation of crosstalk in all-optical networks (AONs), reliability of MPSoC and SoC embedded systems, design and implementation of IPs in FPGA, Evolutionary Computation, Genetic algorithms applied to information retrieval and TS problem. Information security, supply chain and systems maintainability management  in industries, stochastic systems for engineering control, decision making in engineering management, optical communication, particular  localisation and estimation of crosstalk in all-optical networks (AONs)
