Dr. Awad was born in 1958, Egypt. In 1983, he graduated from the Faculty of Physiotherapy, Cairo University, and then joined the Department of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation, Cairo University as a physiotherapist and clinical instructor. He finished studying medicine in 1993 and practiced medicine as a general doctor for 4 years from 1994 up to 1998 in the Cairo University Hospital, including many public and private medical clinics.

At the end of 1994, Dr. Awad worked in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia as a senior physiotherapist in the Ministry of Work and Social Affairs. Moreover, in April 1998, he was employed in the Kingdom of Bahrain as a senior physiotherapist in the Ministry of Health (Salmanya Medical Complex) for about eleven years.

He is currently a full-time lecturer and a clinical instructor, in the Department of physiotherapy, College of Medical and Health Sciences, Ahlia University. A part of his job is to train physiotherapy students on the proper ways of communicating with the families of handicapped children as this plays a very important role in the treatment and rehabilitation of the patients.

Moreover, as a part of his community engagement activities, Dr. Awad is interested in transferring knowledge and information to primary, intermediate and high school students regarding child health and development through school visits, lectures and group discussions. Additionally, he represents Ahlia university as a medical doctor and physiotherapist, at the Salmanya Medical Complex, by sharing medical consultancies, treating handicapped children, and providing clinical training to interns.
