Dr. Nahlaa A. Khalifa BIOGRAPHY

Dr. Nahlaa Khalifa is an Assistant Professor at the Department of Clinical Nutrition, Faculty of Applied Medical Sciences, King Abdulaziz University, Jeddah, Saudi Arabia. She holds a PhD in food science and nutrition from Khartoum University in cooperation with Hanover University. Dr Khalifa is the founder of the clinical nutrition BSc programme at King Abdulaziz University. She is the coordinator of an evaluation and quality assurance programme, coordinator of undergraduate and postgraduate curriculum development and revision, chairperson of an academic advisory committee, consultant of the academic accreditation committee. She has been awarded certificates for participation and attendance for health, community and educational missions. She has been an invited speaker at many conferences, and has published articles on food science and nutrition. Her main interests are in nutritional genomic, medical nutrition therapy for patients with special needs, and Complementary and Alternative Medicine (CAM). Her interests also lie in the activation of modern information technology applications in teaching and research, and the establishment and accreditation of new departments.
