About the degree programme
The Bachelors Degree in Economics and Finance prepares students to pursue a career in economics, finance and business.
In the first two years of the programme, students are offered foundation courses aimed at strengthening their theoretical knowledge in economics, finance and other business related subjects in both domestic and global markets. The modules are also designed to enable a greater understanding of the functions various markets play in the global development of the economy and society. During the final two years of the programme, students are given a chance to specialise in areas such as finance, investments, econometrics, international business, business law, international finance and industrial organisation.
Graduates in Economics and Finance have the opportunity to pursue careers within financial institutions and markets, government services and regional and global organisations.
The degree programme is structured to encourage links with business and finance organisations to open up opportunities for our graduates to be employer ready upon graduation.
