Every year the whole country comes together to celebrate National Day on the 17 December. In celebration AU hosts a carnival Under the Patronage of The Governor of the Capital Shaikh Hisham bin Abdulrahman Al Khalifa and Prof Abdulla Y. Al Hawaj, founding President of Ahlia University, the Carnival includes a host of activities including traditional music, and exhibitions of paintings and sculpture from students, students dressed in traditional costumes and of course lots of local food. The celebration of National Day is a great tradition within the University and is a chance for all our students to become involved.
