At Aliah University, the institution recognizes the importance of implementing policies and mechanisms that guarantee women's participation at every stage of the educational process: from application and admission to the completion of academic programs. The university has made progress in the collection of gender-based data, the transparent publication of admission criteria and study conditions, and the establishment of affirmative actions that promote female inclusion in specific academic programs.
This report analyzes how Aliah University contributes to the fulfillment of SDG 5, specifically in the monitoring of women's application, acceptance, and study completion rates, as well as in the assurance of equal conditions for access and participation between men and women, reflecting the institution's commitment to non-discrimination and educational equity.
The Khalifa Bin Salman Al Khalifa Foundation announces the names of students selected for the late His Royal Highness Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa Scholarship, may he rest in peace, along with the Her Highness Shaikha Moza bint Hamad Al Khalifa Scholarship under the Riyada Scholarship Program. This program offers numerous benefits, including covering university tuition fees, training and educational courses, internship opportunities, community service, and enjoyable and educational semester meetings.
The program aims to create an environment that fosters the development of youth potential, enhances their academic and educational level, and strengthens their abilities and skills, ultimately creating a new generation of youth capable of leadership and responsibility.
The total number of scholarships for the 2024-2025 academic year amounts to 51 scholarships covering partner universities. We wish them all success and prosperity.
Student Zain Hassan talked about her participation in the Media Talent Awards 2023, and her arrival at the finals stage, noting that this participation was interesting as it refined her talent in the media aspect, specifically radio and television, and encouraged her to go out of the ordinary and experience several aspects in this field.
Zainab talked about her participation in Huawei Seeds for the Future 2023, which was held in Doha last September, where she was honored for excelling among the top 5% of participants, based on her performance with her team in the Tech4Good competition. According to this achievement, she was selected for a digital flight to China under the full sponsorship of Huawei, to represent the Kingdom of Bahrain, and the trip included a visit to Huawei's state-of-the-art facilities, other leading artificial intelligence facilities, a visit to MWCS24 in Shanghai, a visit to drones designed to operate on drones, and a visit to the MAWAN smart port.
Student Shouq Al-Dhari spoke about her role as an ambassador for Huawei, and Shouq said that this taught her valuable lessons in balancing the study with extracurricular activities, pointing out that her role revolves around integrating what she learned from Huawei programs and courses into university curricula, and encouraging students to participate in the ICT competition and the ICT Academy. Shouq noted that she was responsible for promoting Huawei's initiatives and inspiring others to explore new opportunities in the technology industries, stressing the importance of guiding students towards professional growth while contributing to the development of a tech-friendly academic environment and linking education with innovation.
Student Esraa Al-Qattan participated in the HiPO program, presented by the Institute of Public Administration (BIPA), and the student Esraa said that this participation taught her valuable lessons in balancing all life obligations, as the student Esraa and her team won first place in the "Youth of Gold" award through a study they did under the title "The Role of Youth in Preserving National Values", and the student and her team underwent the 48-hour challenge, which they were able to win. The student, Israa, pointed out that this experience helped her a lot to develop the leadership, national and organizational side.
Dana expressed her pride in her recent participation in representing the Kingdom of Bahrain in the Huawei Seeds for the Future regional competition in Uzbekistan, with ten talented students from around the world, and said: "Representing Bahrain on the global stage is a historic achievement, the experience was rewarding and full of challenges, and we witnessed the skills of our colleagues, which motivated us to strive for excellence." Dana expressed her happiness that the Bahrain team reached the finals and received the award for the outstanding project. "I extend my sincere gratitude to Dr. Ahmed Al-Jadidi and Ms. Maha Saadoun for their tireless efforts in creating opportunities like this for Bahraini students, and I thank Julie Paul for her guidance throughout the program and our mentor Ammar Al-Natour for his valuable support in improving our project and presentation."

Researcher Zainat Doulari has obtained a Master's degree with distinction and first-class honors from the Department of Media and Public Relations at Al-Ahlia University. Her thesis was titled "Public Attitudes Towards Digital Advertising Campaigns in the Ministry of Municipalities and Agriculture." The study aimed to explore the public's attitudes towards digital advertising campaigns in government institutions in the Kingdom of Bahrain, with the Ministry of Municipalities and Agriculture as a case study. The research was conducted under the supervision of Dr. Abdul Sadeq Hasan.
A number of female employees and students from the College of Administrative and Financial Sciences at Al-Ahlia University participated in yoga sessions led by the professional trainer Amira Hashem. These sessions are aimed at promoting physical and mental well-being by reducing stress and enhancing mental health.
