Paper Submission Policy
Authors should submit original and anonymized papers in the English language, following author guidelines, not submitted elsewhere, below 20% of similarity, as a single PDF document.
Submitted papers should not exceed 5000 words & 8 pages.
All submission must be made using the following link: https://easychair.org/conferences/?conf=icger2021
Papers will pass through a double-blind review process: based on a 70% acceptance rate.
Upon acceptance, at least one author must register to present at the conference
After receiving the final acceptance, you are required to follow all the below requirements for the final submission of your camera-ready paper.
Requirements:
- Point-By-Point Response Letter to all reviewers’ comments.
- Signed and scanned publishing agreement (copyright) form, which should be signed by you using your own signature. This signature should not be in typed letters.
- Signed and scanned Permission Request Form (Springer) if applicable (sign the Permission Request by using your own signature, not by typed letters).
- The final paper (camera-ready copy) should be prepared as per the ICGER 2021 sample paper, named with the paper ID in Word format with the full details of the authors (see attached example paper).
- A PDF file from the final paper (camera-ready copy) prepared in point 4.
- The proof of your payment.
- After preparing the camera-ready paper, as per the above points, please email a zipped file, with the required documents hyperlinked in the previous points, to info.icger@ahlia.edu.bh

Janice C. Sipior, Ph.D., Professor of MIS, has undertaken extensive research addressing ethical and legal considerations associated with information systems and managing risks. She has published on topics such as bring your own device (BYOD); internet jurisdiction for e-commerce and cloud computing; benefits and risks of social business; privacy concerns associated with smartphone use, email, and online presence; e-discovery; and e-commerce sales and use tax. She served on the Association for Computing Machinery’s (ACM) Code of Ethics Update Task Force.

Ahmed Elamer joined Brunel University London as a Senior Lecturer in Accounting in April 2019.
Prior to joining Brunel Business School, Ahmed worked at Bradford University School of Management and the University of The West of Scotland, UK. He graduated from Mansoura University, with a BSc degree in Accounting (with First Class Honours). He holds an MSc in Accounting from Mansoura University and has completed his PhD in Accounting from the University of Huddersfield with a particular focus on Risk Disclosures, Multi-Level Governance, Credit Ratings, and Bank Performance. Ahmed has published extensively in a number of internationally recognised journals, such as the Accounting Forum, Journal of Business Ethics, Business & Society, Business Strategy and the Environment, International Journal of Finance and Economics, Expert Systems with Applications, International Journal of Accounting and Information Management, Journal of Cleaner Production, Sustainability Accounting, Management and Policy Journal, amongst others. Ahmed has presented his work at a number of national and international academic conferences, workshops, and seminars. Ahmed’s research interests are in the areas of Narrative Disclosure, Risk Governance, International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS), Social and Environmental Accounting, Earnings Management, and Corporate Governance Mechanisms. Dr Ahmed Elamer is a member of the Accounting and Auditing Research Group at Brunel University London.

Prof Khaled Hussainey is a Professor of Accounting and Financial Management and the Research Lead of Accounting and Financial Management in the Faculty of Business and Law at University of Portsmouth, UK. He has published more than 100 articles in peer-reviewed journals and written a number of book chapters and he has edited a textbook on corporate governance in emerging economies. Professor Khaled Hussainey is an experienced PhD supervisor with thirty-six completions. Further, he is an experienced PhD examiner with eighty-one examinations (69 external and 12 internal examinations). He received the best paper award from The British Accounting Review in 2007 and the best paper award from Journal of Risk Finance in 2012. He has received research grants from the Economic and Social Research Council (ESRC); the British Academy; and Qatar National Research Foundation (QNRF), Plymouth University, University of Portsmouth and Abu Dhabi University. Professor Khaled Hussainey is a Co-Editor Journal of Financial Reporting and Accounting, and Journal of Contemporary Issues in Accounting. He is also an Associate Editor of Journal of Applied Accounting Research, International Journal of Accounting, and Auditing and Performance Evaluation.

Dr. Amer Al-Roubaie is a Professor of Economics at Ahlia University in Bahrain. He obtained his doctorate in economics from McGill University, Montreal Canada. He taught economics at Concordia University as an Adjunct Professor and also at other North American and Middle Eastern universities. He was also a research Fellow at ISTAC, kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, for a number of years. Besides economics, his expertise lies in the fields of knowledge-based development, Islamic banking and Finance, development economics and globalisation and international business.
