Biography

She joined Ahlia University in 2013. She got her Ph.D. from Brunel University, UK in 2021. Dr. Sanad is interested in financial accounting in general and in corporate governance, gender diversity on corporate boards, earnings management, XBRL, cryptocurrency, fraud detection using machine learning and internet financial reporting in particular. She has an increasing involvement in publication. Recently she has published different papers related to corporate governance and internet financial reporting in well-known journals.

She used to be a member of the British Accounting and Finance Association (BAFA), British Academy of Management (BAM), UK and currently she is a member at Chartered Association of Business Schools (CABS). She is also a reviewer in a number of well-known journals such as Arab Gulf Journal of Scientific Research, Emerald, Journal of Behavioral and Experimental Finance, Elsevier, Journal of Sustainable Finance and Investment, ScholarOne, and Cogent Economics and Finance, Taylor & Francis.

Moreover, Dr. Zakeya is an advisory board member of the 34th World Conference on Applied Science, Engineering and Technology” (34th WCASET-2021), IFERP, UAE. She is an editorial board member at the Academy of Accounting and Financial Studies Journal and editorial advisory board member at Perspective on Women in Management and the Global Labor Market – IGI.

Dr. Zakeya has extensive experience in quality assurance documentation as she is the quality assurance coordinator in the college of Business and Finance. She also a member in different committees at department and college level like research committee, quality documentation committee, AACSB accreditation committee and new academic programs committee.
