The Department of Physiotherapy is the flagship department of the College of Medical and Health Sciences of Ahlia University and awards the degree BSc in Physiotherapy. The BSc Physiotherapy program aims to produce graduate physiotherapists who are able to work as independent practitioners and as interactive members of the multidisciplinary health-care team in accordance with socio-cultural, scientific and technological developments and the needs of the community and region. Specifically, the programme seeks to produce health care professionals who are possess sound scientific knowledge, basic professional skills and practice techniques as described by the academic, professional and statutory bodies. Likewise, the department trains its students to become future leaders in the physiotherapy professions who demonstrate the appropriate skills in reflective practice, and life-long learning, and have the knowledge and expertise to meet the demands of current and future employment including working and communicating in a multidisciplinary environment within a health care setting.
