The department of Telecommunication Engineering is concerned with the theory, design, development and applications of Mobile Communications, Communication Networks and Telecommunication Systems. With a unique history of nearly ten years the Department of Telecommunication Engineering at Ahlia University is the only department in Bahrain and the Gulf region offering an undergraduate degree in Mobile and Network Engineering (BSMNE).

The aim of the Bachelor in Mobile and Network Engineering (BSMNE) programme is to provide students with a broad-based education that delivers strong theoretical and practical background in hardware and software, along with the engineering analysis, design and implementation skills necessary to work between the two. The programme emphasizes an in-depth understanding of the technologies that support the local and global broadband digital networking and mobile communication systems that are required for tomorrow’s broadband interactive information transmission.

Faculty members of the Department of Telecommunication Engineering are active in applied research and consultancy, as well as basic research. The creative research activities of the faculty member generate an exciting and enjoyable educational environment.
