Summary

Hasan Kadhem is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Information Technology, Ahlia University. He has 13 years of experience in the IT industry (development, security, training, research, and teaching). He received his PhD degree in Computer Science from the University of Tsukuba, Japan, in 2011. He was awarded ‘the Computer Science Chairman Award’ for his research in database encryption. He received his M.Sc. degree in Information Technology and Computer Security from the New York Institute of Technology (NYIT) in 2007. In 2003, he received his B.Sc. degree in Computer Science from the University of Qatar. Hasan worked as a computer specialist, professional IT trainer and IT-consultant for many years. He holds CEH, COBIT5, MCSE, and MCSD certifications. His research interests include data security, cryptography, database encryption, web and mobile application security, authentication, privacy preserving, and data mining.
