Ahlia participates in EDUTEX

Ahlia University has participated in the Bahrain Education and Training International Exhibition (EDUTEX), held at Bahrain Conventions and Exhibitions Centre in the period from 13 to 15 March, 2012. Ahlia’s stand was the main attraction of the show and received thousands of visitors from high school students who showed special interest in the programmes offered by Ahlia.

Ahlia was the main sponsor for the event. At the opening ceremony, Professor. Abdullah Al Hawaj  said: “Ahlia University has received more commendations than any other private universities in Bahrain by the Quality Assurance Authority for Education and Evaluation (QAAET) and it is ranked among the First Category universities,”. He explained that Ahlia’s sponsorship of the event comes as part of its strategy towards supporting the educational process in Bahrain and promoting the kingdom as a regional center for education and training. He added that visitors to the stand would be briefed on a number of internationally accredited educational programs on the credit hours system, and how the university provides its students with a rich and variant life; contributing in building up and developing their personalities to cope with the day challenges.

As part of its participation in EDUTEX, Ahlia invited its visitors to take part in a general survey to identify the amount of knowledge the audience possesses concerning Ahlia’s development and achievements since its establishment a decade ago. It has also allocated valuable prizes on which withdrawal will be at the final day.

Most of the visitors’ questions focused on the Academic programs of Ahlia’s six colleges. Special interest was also apparent on the international affiliation with other universities from North America, Europe and Japan; especially the International Exchange Program maintained by Ahlia with a number of international educational and research institutes and universities such as  Brunel University (UK) and Epitech of France.

A special area of the stand was dedicated to Ahlia Training and Development Centre which provides professional training programs related to commercial and technical fields by specialized professors and experts. Another area covered Ahlia School located in Saar. The school which applies American curriculum has received its first batch of students this year.
